When talking to Mr. Yoshihiro Hosokawa, I often hear the phrase 'the individuality of the soil'.

Artworks made without kneading or filtering clay show various expressions within a single piece.

Amidst the red and white, there are subtle hints of yellow appearing here and there, with some small cracks caused by pebbles also visible.

The straw is only applied to the area around the vessel, and the Hizo (reddish-brown pattern that appears due to the reaction with the straw), which is a staple of Bizen, does not appear on the surface of the vessel, so you can feel the uniqueness of the clay throughout.

The angle of the edge and the minimalistic guard give a modest yet dignified impression.
